Homework – 10/28
Draw a picture about any aspect of the Enlightenment that you’d like. What do you think the changes going in Europe looked like? What might the culminating event–the French Revolution–have looked like? Be creative with your drawing. The best ones will be put up in the classroom and those students will receive 50 bonus points in addition to their regular homework grade.
Reminder – Economic Theory Test Monday!
Just a reminder that on Monday you will be given your test on our unit on economic theory. You will be expected to know about:
1) Adam Smith and capitalism (including the definitions of key terms such as private property, corporation, and laissez-faire and what The Wealth of Nations is).
2) Karl Marx and Marxism/communism (including conflict theory, proletariat, bourgeoisie, what The Communist Manifesto is, etc.).
3) Vladimir Lenin and imperialism (including the definition of imperialism, facts about Lenin’s life, who the Bolsheviks were, the October Revolution, and what Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism is).
